The deadline for final submissions for the eighth annual International Maritime Film Festival is tomorrow, August 9. Organizers describe the festival as a juried contest celebrating maritime heritage, ocean adventure, boat ingenuity, and special environments. The event is set to take place in person at the Alamo Theater in Bucksport, Maine from September 26-28, with an online component on Vimeo from October 1-31.

Winners of the festival will be announced by August 23, with the Grand Prize Feature Length Film winner receiving US$500 (~€457) and a runner-up receiving $250 (~€229). The Grand Prize Short Film winner will be awarded $250, while a runner-up will receive $100 (~€91).
