In a major step for maritime decarbonization, Anew Climate and Seaspan Energy successfully conducted their first ship-to-ship loading of renewable liquefied natural gas (Bio-LNG) at the Port of Long Beach, California. This operation marks a pivotal advancement in transitioning to lower-carbon marine fuels along the North American West Coast.

Gasum has partnered with DNV to ensure the accuracy of its FuelEU Maritime pooling service. DNV will use its Emissions Connect solution to gather and validate emissions data from Gasum’s vessels. This collaboration aims to verify pool compliance at the end of the year, in line with the new requirements set by the FuelEU Maritime regulation.

Gasum, a Nordic energy company, has partnered with Wasaline to create a commercial FuelEU Maritime pooling service. This initiative aims to help conventional fuel vessels save on compliance costs as the FuelEU Maritime regulation comes into effect in January 2025. The regulation targets ships over 5,000 gross tonnage.
