Japan’s NYK Line is partnering with Oriental Land Co. to launch a Disney-themed cruise ship tailored for the Japanese market. With an investment of up to $2.2 billion, the new ship will be the fourth member of the Disney Wish class. This collaboration aims to provide immersive family entertainment experiences, expanding NYK’s cruise operations.
The Disney Treasure, Disney Cruise Line’s latest ship, completed its journey from a shipyard in Germany to its berth in the Netherlands. The 16-hour conveyance along the Ems River was guided by tugs due to the ship’s massive size. After sea trials, the ship will sail to Port Canaveral, Florida, offering a magical cruise experience for guests.
Work on Disney Cruise Line’s third LNG-fueled cruise ship, Disney Destiny, reached a milestone with the keel laying at Meyer Werft yard in Germany. The ship, part of the company’s expansion, will feature a “Heroes and Villains” design theme. The fleet’s latest addition is set to sail in 2025, following Disney Treasure.
