Batavia Replica Makes Smooth Journey to Lelystad
The wooden sailing vessel Batavia was successfully relocated to Lelystad on October 2. This replica of the 1628 Dutch East India Company ship, built in 1995, was transported on a custom cradle via a pontoon, enhancing its visibility and ensuring proper timber drying for long-term preservation at Museum Batavialand.
