The incident, noted as the 12th potential Iranian attack in a week, prompted an emergency medical evacuation by Omani forces, highlighting escalating threats to maritime safety.
An oil tanker navigating the Hormuz Strait reported hearing two explosions, approximately ten miles southeast of Kumzar, Oman. The UK Maritime Trade Operations confirmed the crew and vessel are safe, amid ongoing discussions between Tehran and Muscat about managing this critical waterway, raising concerns over maritime safety in the region.
