Methanol Ships

Hapag-Lloyd has secured a $500 million contract with CIMC Raffles for eight dual-fuel methanol containerships. Set for delivery between 2028 and 2029, each vessel will have a 4,500 TEU capacity and advanced engines promising 30% improved efficiency, collectively reducing carbon emissions by 350,000 metric tons annually.
