French Initiative Backs Design of Floating Nuclear Power Barge
A consortium led by Newcleo, alongside Bureau Veritas Marine and Offshore and ABMI Groupe, has secured nearly €1 million in funding to develop a non-self-propelled floating barge designed to house multiple reactors, each generating 200 MWe. The project, lasting 18 months, focuses on innovative energy solutions for isolated regions and industrial hubs.
