As more ships are rerouted via the Cape of Good Hope, Maersk is expanding its fleet by chartering Neo-Panamax ships from ONE and Wan Hai. The 15,000 TEU ONE Focus and the 13,100 TEU Wan Hai A12 have been added to the Far East-US West Coast service TP6, jointly operated with Mediterranean Shipping Company. Wan Hai A12 was initially intended for Wan Hai’s transpacific or Far East-South America services.
