Defiant Barge Fuel and Oily Water Successfully Extracted Near San Juan Harbor
Salvors have successfully extracted approximately 1,000 gallons of residual fuel and oily water from the Defiant barge, grounded near San Felipe del Morro Castle in Puerto Rico. Additional equipment is being used to assess the barge’s condition, while a removal plan awaits approval. The situation is being closely monitored to protect the environment.
