AMSA Uses Challenger Aircraft and Cargo Ship in Maritime Rescue Operation

AMSA deployed its Challenger rescue aircraft from Essendon and Cairns, which arrived on scene at 10:00 and 11:30, respectively. The aircraft successfully delivered two liferafts, communications equipment, and a de-watering pump to the distressed vessel.

In a coordinated effort, the nearby cargo ship, Darya Nitya, responded to AMSA’s call for assistance. It reached the location around 17:00, further aiding in the rescue operation.

The deployment of these resources highlights AMSA’s commitment to ensuring maritime safety and prompt response in emergencies.
