The Seaspan team in Sri Lanka recently partnered with the Arunodhaya Foundation as part of their corporate social responsibility efforts leading up to International Seafarers’ Day on June 25. The foundation, which provides care for 30 children with mental and physical challenges, relies on donations to sustain its important work. Seaspan’s initiative aimed to support the foundation in continuing to offer essential care despite economic challenges.
The Ceyline Seaspan team, along with volunteers, provided dry rations, gifts, painted the community building, repaired beds, and engaged with the children through entertainment. The day ended with a fulfilling meal for the children, bringing joy and a sense of community spirit. This project, launched as an ESG initiative, brought smiles to the faces of the children and showcased the team’s commitment to making a positive impact.
Seaspan believes in the importance of people as the driving force behind their success. Their efforts extend beyond their operations at sea to include community initiatives such as charity events, art contests, and blood donation drives. Ceyline Shipping Limited, as the trusted partner for Seaspan Crew recruitment in Sri Lanka, has played a crucial role in providing top-notch maritime personnel for Seaspan’s fleet for nearly two decades, solidifying its position as the preferred local office.
