Australia’s largest premium marina and hospitality network, d’Albora, has partnered with Seavolt, Australia’s first and only company dedicated to marine charging, to establish Australia’s first DC fast charging network for electric boats. This collaboration aims to support the growing trend of electric boats in both recreational and commercial sectors, requiring a sustainable and convenient network of charging stations.
Seavolt CEO Chris Cudlipp emphasizes the importance of providing a charging network that can deliver 100% renewable electricity to power electric boats on the water. d’Albora Managing Director Julien Pouteau recognizes the upcoming shift in the marine industry towards emissions-free boating and sees the partnership with Seavolt as a way to support this transition. The installation of DC fast chargers across d’Albora’s marina network in QLD, NSW, and VIC will offer direct vessel charging access to the public, with options for AC chargers on individual marina berths and customer car parks.
The first installation will be at d’Albora The Spit on Sydney Harbour, providing electric boating enthusiasts with a range of services including fast charging, berthing, maintenance facilities, and waterfront dining options. Chris describes d’Albora as the ideal partner to accelerate the roll out of marine charging in Australia, emphasizing the importance of having chargers in key locations across the east coast. As the electric boating revolution gains momentum worldwide, this partnership between d’Albora and Seavolt marks Australia’s first significant step towards embracing this trend.
