Intership Navigation Co. Ltd, a prominent ship and crew management service provider based in Cyprus, has successfully migrated its fleet of over 100 vessels and 3,000 seafarers to Mintra’s Trainingportal Learning and Competency Management System. This significant achievement underscores Intership’s dedication to improving the training, career advancement, and safety of its seafarers. Mintra, a leading provider of digital learning and human capital management systems for safety-critical industries, was chosen by Intership to deliver cutting-edge training solutions, enabling workforce development, compliance assurance, and operational efficiency maximization.
The migration involved not only transferring 3,000 seafarers but also conducting a comprehensive ‘revise and refresh’ of the training matrix. Mintra’s expert team ensured that the refined matrix met all learning objectives while enhancing engagement and knowledge retention for seafarers by streamlining the number of courses. The updated matrix combines 60 of Mintra’s accredited courses with 40 of Intership’s own, now accessible online and offline through Trainingportal, along with the integration of Intership’s internal crew management system.
Intership Navigation manages a diverse fleet of ship types and boasts a high crew retention rate of 96%, attributed to robust support from its manning agencies and training center. By adopting Mintra’s competency management system and SafeMetrix assessment platform, Intership aims to provide clear visibility and centralised control for seafarers to progress in their careers. Dieter Rohdenburg, CEO of Intership Navigation, emphasized the company’s commitment to investing in the wellbeing and training of their seafarers, recognizing them as essential ambassadors of the business.
