At this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Mercury Marine unveiled its new Avator 75e and 110e electric outboards, which are the company’s most powerful electric outboards to date. These models are set to be released for sale later in 2024 and were showcased alongside other innovations from Brunswick Corporation brands. The Avator 75e and 110e outboards generate 7,500W and 11,000W of power at the prop shaft, respectively, and are part of Mercury’s strategy to provide about an hour of runtime at full throttle.
According to Patrick Reinke, category manager for electrification on the Mercury eSolutions team, the Avator lineup offers a simple and low-maintenance electric propulsion system that is easy to use. The outboards integrate with the complete Avator propulsion system and feature a full-color digital display, Avator-specific tiller and remote controls, custom propellers, and compatibility with the new Mercury Marine app. Reinke also highlighted that the Avator 75e and 110e models will provide boaters with a complete family of low-voltage, all-electric propulsion systems capable of powering boats ranging from small inflatables to small fiberglass runabouts, offering a new and innovative option for marine propulsion.
