Telesat has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with South Korea’s Hanwha Systems to collaboratively develop advanced satellite connectivity solutions. This partnership aims to create sovereign satellite communication technologies and user terminals that will integrate with Telesat’s Lightspeed Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite network.

This strategic alliance follows a recent Letter of Intent signed between the Canadian and South Korean governments, which emphasizes their commitment to cooperate on next-generation commercial LEO satellite communications and maritime technologies.
