InterManager has raised significant concerns regarding the deteriorating security situation impacting commercial shipping in the Middle East Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz. Following recent attacks on merchant vessels in the area, the organization urges ship managers, owners, and operators to exercise extreme caution and reassess the necessity of transiting through this critical waterway. The safety of seafarers remains the top priority.

Expressing condolences to the families of those affected by the incidents, InterManager emphasizes the gravity of the situation. During an emergency briefing convened by IMO Secretary-General Arsenio Dominguez on March 11, Captain Kuba Szymanski, Secretary General of InterManager, highlighted the escalating security threats in the Strait of Hormuz. He stated that seafarers should not be exposed to unnecessary risks while fulfilling their vital roles in international trade.
