RightShip, a digital maritime platform, has partnered with Napier Port to implement its innovative RightPort risk solution at the New Zealand port. This makes Napier the first port in the region to adopt the cutting-edge technology, aimed at enhancing maritime safety and sustainability. RightPort is a digital solution that screens inbound vessels against risk-based criteria tailored to a port’s requirements, streamlining pre-arrival processes, reducing administrative workload, and improving communication with vessels. It also connects users to a global network of ports, allowing access to feedback reports and vessel insights from other ports and terminals.
Todd Dawson, Chief Executive of Napier Port, expressed delight in the partnership, stating that RightPort will help improve operational efficiency, safety standards, and environmental performance, in line with the port’s vision to be a long-term partner for customers and the community. Andy Symonds, Head of APAC at RightShip, also expressed excitement about the partnership, highlighting Napier Port’s commitment to enhancing maritime safety and sustainability. The company also announced the debut of three new subscription tiers for its data and services for owners and managers: RightFLEET Starter, RightFLEET Lite, and RightFLEET Enterprise, as well as a recent partnership with the International Cargo Handling Organisation (ICHCA).
