Armed Men Seize Product Tanker Near Yemen in Gulf of Aden Incident
A product tanker was hijacked in the Gulf of Aden, 136 nautical miles east of Al Mukalla, Yemen. Six armed individuals boarded the vessel, redirecting it toward Somalia. The tanker, identified as the 2001-built Seamull, had previously faced sanctions for transporting Iranian petroleum products. The crew’s condition remains unknown.
