Dutch marine solar developer Wattlab has equipped HGK Shipping’s inland cargo ship, The Blue Marlin, with a groundbreaking solar energy system. This vessel is the world’s first hybrid solar-powered inland transport ship, featuring 192 solar panels that power its propulsion system and onboard operations, marking a significant advancement in maritime sustainability.
HD Hyundai Mipo, a subsidiary of HD Hyundai Shipbuilding, recently launched the world’s largest liquefied carbon dioxide (LCO2) carrier at its Ulsan shipyard. This vessel, capable of carrying up to 22,000 cubic meters of LCO2, marks a significant milestone in the industry. The Vessel is designed with advanced features like Bi-lobe type storage tanks.
