The third edition of the Thailand International Boat Show kicked off today at the Phuket Yacht Haven Marina, with Thailand’s Prime Minister, Ms. Paetongtarn Shinawatra, leading the inauguration ceremony. The event was attended by key figures such as Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, Minister of Labour, and Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, highlighting the show’s importance in promoting luxury tourism and sustainable growth in Thailand’s marine industry. The show, which runs from the 9th to the 12th of January 2025, has doubled in size from the previous year and is expected to attract over 6,000 visitors from around the world.
The exhibition features 54 boats, including day boats and superyachts, as well as a variety of marine services, gadgets, and luxury lifestyle products. It showcases Thailand’s leadership in the Asian yachting industry and positions Phuket as the premier leisure yachting hub in the region. This year’s show introduces new elements such as the VIP Lounge aboard the Superyacht Lady Eileen II, sponsored by Cessna and Beechcraft by Textron Aviation, as well as the Exhibitors and Captain’s Lounge aboard the superyacht Free Bird, offering an elevated experience for industry professionals and guests.
In addition to the boating displays, the event offers a range of activities for all ages, including Children’s Day celebrations on Saturday, January 11th. The Thailand Yachting Conference, held on January 8th, brought together 150 delegates and speakers from across Asia-Pacific, highlighting Thailand’s marine leisure industry and fostering connections between global stakeholders. The Thailand International Boat Show is open daily from 1pm-8pm, with the final day closing at 7pm, and admission is free.
