The Mission to Seafarers recently launched its second Adventure Race Japan, scheduled for May 2025. The announcement was made during Singapore Maritime Week by Jan Webber, the Mission’s director of development. The organisers are aiming to build on the success of the first race in 2023, which saw 192 participants from 19 countries raise $1.3 million.
The Adventure Race Japan is a unique event that brings together participants from around the world to raise funds for the Mission to Seafarers. The race involves various challenges and activities that test the physical and mental abilities of the participants. The funds raised from the race go towards supporting the Mission’s work in providing welfare services to seafarers around the globe.
The Mission to Seafarers is hopeful that the second Adventure Race Japan will be even more successful than the first, with a larger number of participants and an increased amount of funds raised. The event not only serves as a fundraising opportunity but also raises awareness about the important work that the Mission does in supporting seafarers who often face challenging conditions while at sea.
