The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported a cargo vessel incident approximately 36 nautical miles north of Dubai, UAE, where a fire broke out in the engine room. The cause is currently unknown, but all crew members are safe.

In another incident, UKMTO received a report of a vessel on fire 14 nautical miles west of Mina Saqr, UAE. The cause of this fire has not been verified, and there has been no reported environmental impact.

Earlier, the UAE accused Iran of attacking an empty crude oil tanker belonging to ADNOC with drones while it was navigating the Strait of Hormuz. UKMTO has issued a warning that the maritime security threat level in the Strait remains critical due to ongoing military operations in the region.

Vessels are advised to coordinate with Omani authorities via VHF channel 16 and consider routing through Omani territorial waters, where enhanced U.S. security measures are in place. Iran has restricted access for most non-Iranian ships in the Gulf amid rising tensions following U.S. and Israeli actions against Iran. The Strait of Hormuz is vital for global oil and gas shipments.
