The Board of Directors of Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) has approved 16 impactful projects under their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Guidelines for Major Ports 2023. These initiatives focus on meeting critical needs in surrounding communities, promoting sustainable development, and improving resident well-being. Projects cover areas such as healthcare, education, environment, and community development, with initiatives like cancer screening for underprivileged women, infrastructure improvements, and skills development programs.
Chairman Mr. Unmesh Sharad Wagh stated that the projects are committed to positively impacting the lives of those near the port, aligned with their vision of sustainable and inclusive development. Projects include support for healthcare facilities, educational enhancements, conservation efforts, vocational training programs for women farmers, and infrastructure repairs in schools, showing JNPA’s dedication to holistic development.
