The Federation of Freight Forwarders’ Associations in India (FFFAI), led by Chairman Dushyant Mulani, organized a delegation visit to Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City) on May 31, 2024. The purpose was to explore logistics business opportunities within this innovative financial and smart city. Discussions were held with officials from GIFT City, Price Waterhouse, Axis Bank, and the Gujarat Maritime Cluster (GMC) during the day-long event.
A significant outcome of the visit was FFFAI becoming a member of the Gujarat Maritime Cluster, India’s first commercial maritime cluster offering collaborative solutions for the industry. Mulani believes this partnership will strengthen the maritime and logistics sectors, leading to improved trade efficiency and industry growth. The collaboration with leading financial and maritime institutions is seen as strategically important by Mulani.
Mulani emphasized that FFFAI’s membership in GMC signifies a milestone in India’s maritime innovation and operational excellence. This collaboration is expected to streamline trade operations, enhance the competitiveness of Indian freight forwarders globally, and contribute to sustainable economic growth. Discussions at GIFT City focused on utilizing its advanced infrastructure and strategic location to enhance India’s logistics and maritime capabilities, with valuable insights gained from interactions with Price Waterhouse and Axis Bank.
