India is rapidly transforming its electric vehicle (EV) landscape, marked by Prime Minister Modi inaugurating Maruti Suzuki’s new facility in Gujarat. This week, the first domestically produced electric cars were unveiled, set to reach over 100 international markets, with APM Terminals Pipavav Port exporting 1,534 eVITARA units to the UK and Germany.
The Andhra Pradesh Maritime Board has signed a ₹9,000 crore MoU with APM Terminals for developing ports in Ramayapatnam, Machilipatnam, and Mulapeta. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu envisions these ports as key to making Andhra Pradesh the “eastern gateway” for trade, enhancing logistics and connectivity across multiple transportation modes.
The dashboard, implemented in 11 terminals globally, offers enhanced transparency, quicker turnaround times, and improved planning reliability. It utilizes sophisticated algorithms to track crane movements, vessel locations, and potential operational challenges. Real-time crane data is integrated into the terminal operating system for enhanced planning accuracy and efficiency analysis.
