Oman Advocates for Protection Zone to Safeguard Whales
Oman has proposed a Particularly Sensitive Sea Area (PSSA) off its Arabian Sea coast to protect endangered marine species, notably the Arabian Sea Humpback Whale, from vessel strikes. The initiative includes research on ship-related risks and suggests speed limits and stricter regulations in critical habitats to safeguard these vulnerable species.
