KR (Korean Register) has issued a Statement of Fact validating the Vessel Performance Calculation Methodology developed by ShipWatch, a subsidiary of Navig8 and ADNOC L&S. Following a technical review, KR confirmed that the methodology complies with international standards ISO 15016:2015 and ISO 19030:2016. The formal presentation of this statement took place on September 2 during the SMM 2026 event in Hamburg, Germany.
ShipWatch offers a comprehensive voyage execution and performance monitoring platform utilized by fleets managed by Navig8, ADNOC L&S, and other charter operators. The platform facilitates daily operations, providing features such as real-time vessel tracking, data validation, charter compliance monitoring, emissions reporting, and voyage optimization.
KR’s assessment concentrated on three key aspects of the ShipWatch methodology: environmental data correction, performance indicator calculation, and the evaluation of vessel performance changes. The review confirmed that the software adheres to the performance-monitoring sequences outlined in ISO 19030:2016.
Additionally, KR found that ShipWatch’s algorithms for correcting environmental factors—such as wind, waves, and seawater properties—align with ISO 15016:2015. The review also examined the methodology for deriving key performance indicators (KPIs), including power deviation and speed loss, and the application of uncertainty analysis to daily noon report data.
