Three bodies have been recovered after an Iranian vessel, the Ara Bakhtar 1, sank in Kuwait’s territorial waters, according to Iran’s Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO). The PMO stated that search and rescue operations were initiated by both Iranian and Kuwaiti authorities following reports of the incident on Sunday.
The vessel had a total of six crew members, three Iranians, and three Indians, as confirmed by Nasser Pasandeh, the PMO’s director general for maritime safety and environmental protection. While three bodies have been found, efforts are still underway to locate the remaining crew members.
