Seafarers Take Cover as FSUI Reports Attack on Cargo Ship Near Hormuz

The Forward Seamen’s Union of India (FSUI) has released footage depicting an assault on an Indian-crewed vessel in the Strait of Hormuz, asserting that the attackers were affiliated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC). The video, dated April 22, captures at least seven speedboats engaging aggressively with the cargo ship, alongside shattered glass that appears to be the result of gunfire or other projectiles.

Additional footage reveals seafarers seeking refuge in an alleyway, highlighting the tense situation aboard the ship. The incident underscores the ongoing maritime security concerns in the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz, a crucial passage for global oil shipments.
