ESAB has launched the Sentinel A70 PRO helmet, marking its entry into premium flip-up automatic helmets for heavy industry. This innovative design features advanced optics, integrated lighting, and Bluetooth connectivity, enhancing protection, comfort, and productivity for users.
The helmet boasts a 4.65 x 3.58 inch flip-up auto-darkening filter (ADF) with top-tier optical classification (EN ISO V1). The ADF conveniently flips away to reveal a clear grinding lens, which can also be flipped up as needed. Key features include an integrated work light, external controls for lens shade and Grind Mode, and a rechargeable LiPo battery. The Bluetooth connectivity allows users to manage settings through ESAB’s Helmet Connect app, enabling the tracking of welding time and service logs.
Kevin Beckerdite, ESAB’s Global Product Manager for PPE, highlights the dual flip-up design that enhances productivity by allowing quick transitions between welding and grinding. The helmet’s second-generation OpTCS True-Color ADF technology reduces eye fatigue, while an integrated 50-lumen LED work light improves visibility in low-light conditions, aiding in both pre-positioning and inspection tasks.
