Mintra has introduced a new integration with K-REG, Norway’s national digital competence registry managed by Sentralregisteret. This integration allows for the automatic registration of course results upon completion of training, streamlining the process for employers who previously had to manually input course records. Available to eligible customers immediately, this feature enhances the digital workflow between learning and the official competence documentation necessary for offshore operations on the Norwegian continental shelf.

This development aligns with Mintra’s strategy to unify learning, competency, and workforce management through integrated digital solutions. By automating the transfer of verified training records from Mintra’s TrainingPortal to K-REG, organizations can minimize administrative burdens while ensuring consistent and secure competency data capture.

For companies in the maritime, offshore, and energy sectors, maintaining workforce competence is crucial for regulatory compliance and safety. Personnel often operate across various locations and must possess the appropriate qualifications. The new integration addresses the challenges of manual data transfers, ensuring that completed training is accurately reflected in Norway’s official competence registry, thereby reducing human error and bolstering confidence in workforce records.

Simon Burrows, HSEQ Manager at Mintra, emphasized the importance of this integration in bridging gaps in competence management. Roar Sømoen, Director of Sentralregisteret, noted that the direct integration enhances efficiency in documenting workforce competence without sacrificing quality. The K-REG system serves as Norway’s official digital registry, simplifying compliance for safety-critical industries.
