Ship Breakaways

On November 24, 2025, a severe storm at the Port of Brisbane led to the breakaway of four ships, including three container vessels. The ATSB’s interim report notes that despite prior weather warnings, operations continued until conditions worsened. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, though minor damage occurred. The investigation is ongoing.
