Three Indian nationals rescued from the commercial vessel MV Royad Mammadov, which was attacked in the Black Sea, are currently recovering in Romania. Two of them are staying in a hotel, while the third is receiving medical treatment at Constanța County Hospital. An Indian Embassy representative visited them to provide support and ensure their safe departure from Romania. Essential items, including mobile phones, were arranged through the shipping company’s local agent, and Indian food was sourced from a nearby Indian restaurant.
The Indian Embassy reported that all three individuals are in stable condition. They are in close contact with local authorities, the shipping company’s agent, and medical staff to coordinate further assistance. The Ministry of External Affairs condemned the attack on the MV Royad Mammadov, which resulted in the deaths of two foreign seafarers and injuries to several crew members, including the Indian nationals. The Ministry expressed gratitude to Romanian authorities for their prompt response in rescuing the injured.
India has voiced serious concerns over attacks on commercial shipping, highlighting the negative impact on global commerce and the welfare of people worldwide. The Indian Embassy confirmed that all three nationals were part of the ship’s crew and are receiving the necessary medical attention and support for their well-being.
