The Dubai Maritime Authority has partnered with Gulf Craft to simplify the registration and licensing process for maritime vessels in Dubai. The agreement, signed by Sheikh Dr. Saeed bin Ahmed bin Khalifa Al Maktoum and Abeer Alshaali, aims to establish a unified system for yacht registration. This new system will allow customers purchasing yachts from Gulf Craft to directly register their vessels with the Dubai Maritime Authority through an online platform, streamlining the registration process. The initiative aligns with Dubai’s goal of enhancing government service accessibility and user-friendliness.
Sheikh Saeed highlighted that this partnership reflects the Dubai Maritime Authority’s commitment to strengthening collaborations with the private sector to facilitate client procedures. Abeer Alshaali commended the Authority’s efforts in making the registration process more efficient and selecting Gulf Craft as a partner to offer this service directly at the point of sale. The collaboration also aims to ensure that all vessels meet safety standards and regulations, contributing to Dubai’s reputation as a leading maritime hub.
As part of Dubai’s efforts to boost its maritime sector, the upcoming Gulf Superyacht Summit 2024 will showcase the region’s growing influence in the industry. The event, set to take place from December 4-5, 2024, at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, will see Gulf Craft participating as a gold sponsor. This collaboration between the Dubai Maritime Authority and Gulf Craft demonstrates a commitment to improving efficiency and safety in the maritime industry, ultimately benefiting both customers and the reputation of Dubai as a maritime hub.
