Maritime Partners has acquired e1 Marine, a company known for its innovative hydrogen production technology for the maritime sector. e1 Marine specializes in advanced methanol to hydrogen production products, with technology from Element 1 Corp. Founded in 2015, Maritime Partners is a leading provider of maritime financing solutions with a fleet of 1,900 vessels.

The integration of e1 Marine’s technology with Maritime Partners’ industry expertise aims to revolutionize marine propulsion and promote a greener future. The company has already begun using e1 Marine’s technology, signing an agreement with the US Coast Guard for the M/S Hydrogen One Tugboat, which converts stored methanol into hydrogen. Maritime Partners believes this technology will reduce emissions, improve fuel efficiency, and set a standard for cleaner energy use in shipping.
