Softlink Global has partnered with Mumbai Rozgaar to establish India’s first comprehensive talent pipeline for the logistics sector, encompassing freight forwarding and customs brokerage. By combining Softlink’s 30 years of industry expertise with Mumbai Rozgaar’s recruitment capabilities, the collaboration aims to produce job-ready professionals for operations roles in India, the Middle East, and Africa.
Despite being a major employment sector, logistics in India faces a significant talent gap, with many frontline positions unfilled. The new initiative addresses this mismatch through several key offerings: certified internships on real logistics systems, specialized training for roles like Documentation Executive and Warehouse Assistant, guaranteed interviews at over 800 Softlink client locations, and a goal to place 2,000 candidates within 18 months.
Amit Maheshwari, CEO of Softlink Global, remarked on the urgency of filling these vacant positions to boost sector efficiency. Meanwhile, Alan Castelino, Managing Director of Mumbai Rozgaar, emphasized the potential for opening new career opportunities for communities often overlooked in traditional hiring processes.
The initiative will be run under Softlink Academy and will begin cohorts in August 2025, with recruitment slots available for interested employers.
