Qatar’s MOT Expands Digital Maritime Services with 11 New Offerings

The Ministry of Transport (MOT) in Doha has successfully automated 11 additional e-services related to maritime transportation, enhancing its digital offerings. These new services are now available on the MOT’s official website, focusing on transactions concerning large vessels and seafarers. This expansion increases the total number of e-services offered by the MOT to 21, as the ministry strives to simplify processes and improve user experiences.

The newly introduced e-services include a range of functionalities such as the Continuous Synopsis Record (CSR), Certificate of Specification Amendment, Ship Deletion, Transfer of Ownership, and various requests related to mortgages and safety insurance for oil pollution damage. This initiative is part of the MOT’s broader strategy to embrace digital transformation and service automation across its sectors.
