Avincis has secured a new five-year contract with the Maritime Safety and Rescue Society (SASEMAR) in Spain, worth €305 million. This agreement reinforces Avincis’s longstanding commitment to providing search and rescue (SAR) services in the region, where they have been supporting SAR missions for the past 30 years. The contract ensures that Avincis’s experienced professionals will continue to operate from their 11 helicopter bases along Spain’s extensive coastline, responding to missions assigned by Salvamento Marítimo.
Operating helicopters 24/7, Avincis upholds the highest standards of quality and safety in their SAR operations. Since winning the public tender in 1993, the company has flown over 100,000 hours, completed around 16,000 missions, and rescued or evacuated over 8,500 individuals.
