Owners and Operators Penalized for Illegal Oily Waste Discharges
MSC Shipmanagement Limited and the owner of the MSC Samira III have been fined $1.75 million after pleading guilty to illegal oily waste discharges into the ocean. The offenses occurred between June 2024 and January 2025, involving serious pollution and recordkeeping violations, leading to a four-year probation sentence.
