Allcargo Group, via its CSR arm Avashya Foundation, has established a partnership with Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU) to enhance skill development and sustainable livelihoods for youth. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aims to connect education with employment by providing market-relevant skills and recognized certifications, particularly benefiting underserved communities.
The MoU was signed at YCMOU’s Nashik campus by Dr. Govind Kathalkute from YCMOU and Dr. Nilratan Shende from Allcargo Group. This collaboration seeks to promote key initiatives in skill development and livelihood promotion.
Dr. Nilratan Shende emphasized that this partnership is pivotal for social transformation and economic empowerment. It aims to equip young individuals with essential skills for sustainable careers, while also contributing to India’s broader growth objectives.
Dr. Sanjeev Sonawane, Vice Chancellor of YCMOU, highlighted the university’s commitment to accessible quality education and expressed excitement about combining its credibility with Allcargo’s CSR program. This partnership is positioned to effectively support underprivileged populations, including women and tribal groups, to confidently enter the formal workforce.
