On June 21, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported that a tanker was approached by a skiff containing five armed individuals approximately 50 nautical miles southeast of Al-Shihr, Yemen. The armed men appeared to be attempting to board the vessel, which prompted the crew to execute evasive maneuvers and change course to avoid the threat.

Following the incident, the tanker resumed its journey towards its next destination. Both the ship and its crew were reported safe, while authorities are conducting an investigation into the encounter.
