Rough Seas Cause Injuries on Color Line’s Sandefjord–Strömstad Ferry
Passengers aboard a Color Line ferry experienced a tumultuous journey when sudden heavy seas caused several individuals to fall, resulting in broken glass and crockery. While some passengers and crew members sustained minor injuries, reports indicate that none were seriously harmed. Emergency services were on standby, with multiple ambulances ready to assist upon the ship’s arrival in Strömstad.
The sales manager for Color Line explained that the vessel encountered unexpected rough waters despite forecasts suggesting safe sailing conditions. Although some interior fittings were damaged during the incident, the overall condition of the ship remains stable. Notably, this trip was not among those canceled due to Storm Boelo.
In response to the incident, Color Line plans to reach out to all passengers who were on board to offer them complimentary future trips. The company is committed to ensuring the safety and satisfaction of its customers following this unsettling experience.
