In Marmaris, a popular tourist destination in Muğla, a tour boat carrying 110 passengers faced a sinking risk due to a malfunction, as reported by Turkish media. The incident occurred at Aquarium Cove in the Cennet Island area, prompting a large-scale rescue operation. Fortunately, all passengers were evacuated safely, and despite the boat sinking completely, there were no injuries reported.

The situation unfolded around 15:45 when the cruise boat began taking on water. The experienced crew quickly recognized the problem and steered the vessel toward the shore, averting a potential disaster. Nearby tour boats and a vessel from the same company promptly responded to assist, while Coastal Guard teams were dispatched to the scene.

In a race against time, the 110 passengers were transferred to safety with the help of nearby seafarers. The out-of-control boat sank into the waters of Aquarium Cove shortly after all passengers were evacuated. Marmaris District Governor Nurullah Kaya arrived at the site to oversee the situation and expressed relief that there were no casualties. Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the malfunction, with Coastal Guard teams securing the area around the sunken boat.
