Tensions escalated on Sunday as Iran launched attacks on Gulf states and declared the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, following the United States’ third round of strikes within a week. Tehran announced its military actions against Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Qatar, and Oman as retaliation for renewed U.S. bombings along its southern coastline.

In response to the drone attacks targeting sites in Musandam, Oman condemned the assaults vehemently. Authorities successfully rescued 23 crew members from a commercial vessel involved in a maritime incident off the coast of the governorate. A security source confirmed that multiple locations in Musandam were hit by drones, prompting the Sultanate to emphasize its commitment to ensuring national security and the safety of its citizens.
