DP World’s Mundra International Container Terminal (MICT) achieved a significant milestone in 2024, with a record-high throughput of 1.42 million TEUs. This marked an 11% increase from the previous year, demonstrating DP World Mundra’s crucial role in Gujarat and its contribution to India’s global trade network. The achievement was attributed to operational excellence, commitment to safety, and sustainability initiatives.

In January, DP World Mundra continued its strong performance by setting a new monthly record of 138,000 TEUs and handling 75 vessels. The terminal offers direct connections to key markets such as the Far East, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. DP World Mundra is dedicated to providing exceptional value to customers while upholding the highest safety standards.

Ravinder Johal, Chief Operating Officer of Ports & Terminals at DP World, praised the terminal’s performance, emphasizing the company’s focus on operational excellence and customer value. DP World Mundra’s infrastructure includes a 632-meter quay, deep draft capabilities for large vessels, and a Container Freight Station spanning 50 acres. The terminal also ensures efficient cargo movement with dedicated rail connectivity and round-the-clock operations. DP World remains committed to delivering top-notch service, security, and sustainability.

To reduce its environmental impact, DP World has implemented initiatives like electrifying its fleet of forklifts and light vehicles. This move will cut down on diesel consumption and carbon emissions, aligning with the company’s goal of promoting sustainable trade practices. DP World’s feat at Mundra underscores its dedication to efficiency, innovation, and environmental responsibility in the maritime industry.
