The port managed a total of 4,738,978 TEU containers and 60.05 million tonnes of cargo from April to November 2024, displaying growth and operational excellence.

Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA), India’s top-performing port, saw a notable increase in container traffic in November 2024. Handling 596,844 TEUs of containers during that month, JNPA experienced a 15.23% rise compared to November 2023. Overall, from April to November 2024, the port managed 4,738,978 TEU containers, marking a 13.38% increase over the same period in the previous financial year.

In November 2024, JNPA handled a total of 596,844 TEU containers and 7.63 million tons of cargo, reflecting increases of 15.23% and 12.34% respectively from November 2023. Additionally, the port dealt with 582 container ships and 91,165 TEUs, surpassing the numbers from the previous fiscal year. A significant development during the month was the commencement of operations at an additional liquid jetty by MS. JSW JNPT Liquid Terminal Pvt. Ltd. (JJLTPL), handling 48,470 tons of liquid.

For the fiscal year 2024-2025, JNPA showcased continued growth by managing 4,738,978 TEU containers and 60.05 million tonnes of total cargo between April and November 2024, indicating increases of 13.38% and 6.41% respectively from the previous year. The port also handled 4,370 container rakes and 693,152 TEUs during this period, demonstrating efficiency and competitiveness in its terminal operations. One of the container terminals, NSFT, achieved a significant milestone by surpassing the 1 million TEU mark within just 22 months of being commissioned.
