Robosys Automation has announced the integration of its VOYAGER AI Autonomous Navigation System (ANS) with FarSounder’s Forward Looking Sonar (FLS) technology. This collaboration enhances real-time situational awareness, obstacle detection, and navigation decision support for luxury superyachts and Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USVs). The combination allows vessels to autonomously navigate around both surface and subsurface hazards, identifying underwater dangers beyond the capabilities of traditional navigation sensors.
As superyachts increasingly embrace advanced digital bridge technologies, the integration of VOYAGER AI and FarSounder equips captains and crews with a comprehensive view of their operating environment. The system continuously integrates sonar data into VOYAGER AI’s decision-making framework, facilitating safe navigation in poorly charted waters and complex coastal areas. FarSounder’s technology offers a three-dimensional perspective of the seabed and potential obstacles, enhancing navigational safety.
This integrated solution is particularly relevant for the expanding superyacht sector, where there is a growing demand for technologies that enhance safety and support reduced-crew operations. Additionally, USV operators benefit from this integration, as it improves mission safety and operational resilience in areas with underwater hazards, aligning with the industry’s shift towards greater automation and intelligent decision support.
