During the Singapore Maritime Week (SMW) 2026, held from April 20 to 24, a new platform named OCEANS-X was launched to enhance maritime digital connectivity and support global trade. The event attracted over 20,000 participants from nearly 80 countries, including ministers, industry leaders, and maritime professionals. Jeffrey Siow, Singapore’s Acting Minister for Transport, introduced OCEANS-X, a platform developed by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), designed to facilitate data exchange among various maritime stakeholders.

OCEANS-X aims to improve interoperability between regulators, port operators, and shipping lines, enabling secure system-to-system connectivity within the maritime ecosystem. This will allow maritime companies and government agencies to share trusted data directly, promoting integrated digital services, efficient port operations, and smoother trade flows.
