A supply boat sank near Pasir Panjang Terminal on June 12 around 9:30 am after colliding with a landing craft. The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), along with the Police Coast Guard and SCDF Marine Division, swiftly deployed vessels to the scene to initiate search and rescue operations.
The landing craft remained stable, and there were no reported injuries among its crew. However, the situation took a tragic turn when the Police Coast Guard recovered three bodies from the water, believed to be crew members from the sunken supply boat.
Ongoing search and rescue efforts, including diving operations, aim to ascertain if any additional crew members from the supply boat are unaccounted for. Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident are currently underway.
