Dredging Corporation of India (DCI) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) to facilitate dry dock repairs for DCI’s fleet. The agreement, signed on September 7, spans a duration of five years and will see DCI vessels serviced at CSL’s various facilities throughout India.
This collaboration aims to enhance the efficiency of vessel maintenance and bolster ship repair capabilities. By focusing on dry dock repairs, the partnership seeks to ensure timely maintenance activities, thereby improving the operational readiness of DCI’s fleet.
Both DCI and CSL operate under the auspices of the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways. The MoU was formalized by senior officials from both organizations, marking a significant step forward in their collaborative efforts to maintain and repair vessels effectively.
This strategic alliance is expected to not only streamline repair processes but also contribute to the overall efficiency and reliability of DCI’s operations in the maritime sector.
